On behalf of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, its over 500 member businesses and our Board of Directors, welcome to our new website. We trust you will find it an informative tool, connecting you to our member businesses. There is so much to showcase and be proud of in our community. Putnam County is a strong and vibrant business community, owing substantial growth from its location between the two largest cities in the state. Charleston, our capital city, is just 25 miles to the east and Huntington, home of Marshall University, is just 30 miles to the west. Add a strong work ethic and talented work force to this enviable location and it is easy to understand the growth. Putnam County remains second only to the eastern panhandle in growth over the last ten years and resistant to the present economic slump that has hampered this country.

Businesses in Putnam County play a vital role in the economic health of our region. This county has a solid industrial, manufacturing and technology presence, along with a retail mix drawing people into the county from throughout the region. The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce has been an active advocate for businesses in our region for over 30 years. The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce serves its member businesses by offering connections to resources that foster growth, stability and success.
