School starts back up in #PutnamWV next week, and we are squeezing in all the fun these last few days. Check out what’s happening this weekend!

With sunny weather here for the weekend it’s the perfect time to get outside. The Valley Park is the perfect place to spend your Friday afternoon. An abundance of playground equipment, walking/running trails, and fishing ponds, make Valley Park the perfect place to spend the last Friday of summer with the family.

There are several local activities happening around the county this Saturday. The Putnam Farmers Market is open 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the field beside Area 34. If you’re looking for fresh tomatoes, new back-to-school jewelry or simply just produce inspiration for family-friendly meals, the folks at the farmers market can get you set up with everything you need.

If you’re into fitness or looking to get into it, come to Workout in the Park, sponsored by Revved Up Fitness and Teays Physical Therapy Center. Participants will begin warming up at 9:00 AM, with the workout lasting around 30 minutes on the main soccer field.

They are asking attendees bring an item for the Backpack Buddies food pantry. Suggested Donation Items: Pop tarts, Mac-n-Cheese cups, Ravioli cans, Fruit cups, Applesauce, Cheese Crackers, Goldfish, Granola bars, etc.

In the evening, Gritt’s Farm is hosting their finale Farm-to-Table dinner of the summer season. Guests will enjoy a meal prepared by Chef Jesse Lyons and live music by the Bronco Junction duo. Keep your eyes on social media for information regarding their upcoming Fall Fun Farm.

Wrap up your weekend on Sunday with a delicious brunch from Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, or a fresh açai bowl from The Juice Box. There are so many wonderful businesses in the county–this weekend is a perfect time to try them out!
