The first weekend of December is finally here! #PutnamWV is celebrating all things holly and jolly this month.
Kicking off the weekend is Valley Park’s tree lighting event and light show, Yuletide in the Park, on Friday, December 2, 2022. From 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM guests can enjoy a pet parade, ugly sweater contest, caroling, visits with Santa, and the tree lighting ceremony. Along with an abundance of scheduled events, there will be a live nativity set, drinks and treats, carriage rides, crafts, and a Storytime with the Putnam County Library for visitors to enjoy.
Tomorrow, December 3, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Celebration Villa of Teays Valley is hosting a Santa’s Workshop with several local vendors. This is a great opportunity to locally shop small for the Holiday.
If you’re looking for something for the kids to do, visit My Messy Desk for a Kids Gift Making Workshop from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Kids can create a one-of-a-kind, handmade gift for the people they love. The gift decorating options are a set of 4 coasters for $20, an apron, canvas tote, or zipper bag for $17.50, an ornament for $5, and a nativity set for $25.
After visiting Santa’s Workshop or decorating with the kids, stop by Belknap Dough Company on Main Street in Hurricane for a delicious seasonal pizza. While on Main Street, take a stroll through the Snowmen on display. Several local businesses have set up charming decorations throughout the town, and the Main Street snowmen are some you don’t want to miss.
If you haven’t already, visit Bubbarino’s Bites & Bubbles on Sunday for a festive treat. Offering glittery Christmas Sangria, Frozen Hot Chocolate and so much more, there is a festive drink for anyone to enjoy. There are tons of yummy bites to enjoy while sipping on your sweet drinks, why not try it all?
With Christmas upon us, #PutnamWV is hopping with activities large and small. No matter what you choose to do this weekend, make the most of it in Putnam County!
