It’s another weekend closer to Christmas in #PutnamWV with tons of fun activities and sales for you to enjoy.
On Friday, head to local stores for last-minute Christmas shopping. Browse through sporty stocking stuffers at Sports Fanz before grabbing a bite at Pita Pit. After a healthy lunch, visit Valley Outdoors to see their QuietKat Electric Bikes and Christmas sale (happening every day until Christmas Eve).
It’s always a great time to swing by the Auto Spa and purchase a gift card. Elk City Auto Spa offers gift vouchers for as low as $50.00.
If you’re looking for a unique activity this Holiday season, The City of Hurricane is sponsoring free carriage rides on Main Street from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday. The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will also be serving free Putnam Provisions hot chocolate with Area 34 Mobile.
Saturday and Sunday throughout Scott Depot, Teays Valley Fire Department is teaming up with Santa for the Annual Santa Tour. The tour is from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Check out Teays Valley Fire Department’s Facebook page for more details.
The Winfield Fire Department Christmas Parade kicks off at 6:00 pm on Saturday at Winfield High School and continues along Rt. 87 in Winfield. The City of Winfield will have fire pits, hot chocolate, and cookies available under the shelter at the Community Center.
At the end of the parade, Santa Claus will arrive and be available for pictures. Wrap up the night with a delicious dinner from Guadalajara Modern Mexican in Nitro and a Christmas movie with friends.
Sunday is a great opportunity to see the new Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water (rated PG-13), at Teays Valley Cinemas with family. If you’re looking to cozy up on the couch with a good book instead, visit the Putnam County Library for a vast selection of books anyone may appreciate.
Christmas is right around the corner, and #PutnamWV has everything you need. No matter what you choose to do, make the most of your weekend in Putnam County!
