Spring is most definitely in the air, which means lots of activities!  There is SO much going on in Putnam County this weekend.  Check out all these events so you can pick which ones you want happening in your weekend!

Start your weekend off with coffee, avocado toast, and networking with a great group of people on Friday morning! Join The Putnam CREW(Community, Relationships, Empower, Workforce) for their monthly meetup, Toast!, at Area 34/Putnam Provisions.

Then later in the day, in preparation for Bright Future’s Learning Centers’ annual Au-some Family Fun Day, they need volunteers to help craft their ideas into reality! They are asking the community to help out during their craft night at Bright Futures Learning Services-McCoy Academy in Hurricane, WV across from Hurricane High School on Friday evening from 6-8pm.  Please come help out with this great cause if you can!

You’re invited to Yeager Design & Interiors’ Spring Fling Saturday starting at 10am! Be one of the first to see their new Spring & Easter decor! They will be serving some specialty drinks & light snacks. Come out and invite your friends!

It’s St. Patrick’s Day Weekend, and Connolly’s Irish Pub is making sure it will be one to remember! Check out their schedule of events:

Thursday (St. Patty’s Eve)-March 16th open noon – 10. WVU v. Maryland at 12:15; every TV will cover the NCAA tourney all day long!

Friday (SAINT PATRICK’S DAY)- March 17th open 10am-10pm. The Irish breakfast begins at 10am and will be served until noon, as well as NCAA games all day, Kanawha valley pipes & drums; members of The Charleston Rogues will perform light music beginning at 5, and the FULL BAND of the Rogues will perform their set at 7pm.

Saturday- March 18th open 11am-10pm. NCAA round 2 games all day plus some musical guests.
Let’s have a fun, safe and memorable weekend! Who doesn’t like a free t-shirt?! Nobody, that’s who! Connolly’s Irish Pub will be giving away 800 t-shirts to their customers while supplies last.  Limit one per customer.

Putnam County still has three more weekends of Tastes & Talents, so be sure to check out the Putnam County CVB’s Facebook page to keep alert of what’s going on.  A great way to support the tastes & talents our wonderful county offers is to head over to Area 34 for The Putnam Farmer’s Market March Pop-Up market on Saturday from 9am-2pm.  Please come support your local farmers and artisans!

Also on Saturday, be sure not to miss your last chance to see the amazing Winfield High School Show Choirs at the Community Show at Winfield High School.  Two performances by the high school choirs plus a special performance from the Junior Clinic members.  Doors open at 2:30pm, show starts at 3:00pm, and admission is by donation and taken at the door.  See you there!
