Mar 31, 2025 | 0 comments

The Putnam County Library strives to bring innovative and entertaining programming, relevant, educational, and expansive collections, and new technology to the community. Discover Putnam County Library’s wide range of programs, expansive collections, and innovative technology at their locations in Buffalo, Eleanor, Hurricane, Poca, Teays Valley, and their Mobile Library!

In case you don’t frequent the Putnam County libraries, their schedule stays very full; an action-packed blend of activities for kids, teens, adults, and seniors. In April alone, they are hosting a Beginner Knot Tying at Main, a Birdwatching Adventure in Eleanor, Family Movie Night at Poca, morning and evening story time events, cooking demonstrations, craft gatherings, writer’s groups and SO much more!

The Putnam County Library system is heavily utilized for informational and recreational reading materials, curriculum support, Internet access, meeting rooms, and community programs for adults, teens, and children. The branch libraries are located in their respective communities and often supplement their local school libraries in providing resources to students and citizens of their communities.

Each library in the system has a strong summer reading program with over 1,500 children registered and participating in various programs. The planning of the 2025 summer reading program is currently being finalized. This summer’s theme is Color Your World and is going to be fantastic!

There is always something going on at your Putnam Libraries! Stay in the know with our monthly program calendar, special events, new book lists, holiday closures, and more.
