We are excited to highlight the Chambers’ August Business of the Month; PALCO Power Systems. Dave Hill, the Sales Manager, told us everything we need to know about this awesome Chamber business located in Winfield. Here’s what he had to say!

PALCO started in Norvelt, Pennsylvania in 1967 making lighted exit signs (which we do not do anymore). In 1972 PALCO became an authorized distributor of Kohler generators for Western Pennsylvania, Western Maryland, and West Virginia. In 1985, PALCO opened a second branch here in Putnam County  right beside Winfield Elementary School. In 2021, due to significant growth of the business, we moved to our current location 3317 State Route 34. Our business is generators and everything that goes with them. There are two sides to our business; the first being residential generator sales and service. PALCO sells Kohler residential generators and automatic transfer switches, as well as servicing any brand of home generators. The second is selling Kohler industrial generators, ATS’s, paralleling switchgear, load banks and docking stations as well as industrial service. We offer maintenance and repair of all brands of generators, fuel polishing, load bank services, thermal imaging and line isolation testing from our 24-hour service department.

PALCO Power Systems has a diverse customer base for both sales and service, which includes hospitals, PSD’s, banks, hotels, data centers, family owned businesses, fire departments, and the list goes on and on.

We like being located in a business friendly area such as Putnam County, but it is the people that really make operating a business here worthwhile. While the county continues to grow, it maintains a small town feel consisting of pride in our local school systems, supporting youth groups throughout the county, and supporting local businesses.
