The rain is going to stop, #PutnamWV, so don’t worry about your weekend plans getting soggy! And there are plenty of activities to choose from. Check it out:
The Town of Poca’s Annual Fall Festival is this weekend. The Cruise-In for this evening is cancelled, but on Saturday, the parade begins at 11:00am and the Wall of Honor Ceremony at noon, followed by an afternoon of vendors, food, inflatables, music and more!
Additionally this evening, Hurricane and Winfield High School’s will both be hosting Homecoming parades. Check out each city’s Facebook page for details regarding the parades.
This Saturday is Kids Day, and the last day of the regular season for the Putnam Farmer’s Market. For Kids Day, kids get two $2 tokens to spend as they wish, and vendors will have fun things for them to spend them on. After this weekend, The Farmer’s Market will start monthly pop-ups on the second Saturday of each month inside of Area 34, starting in October and running through April 2025.
Plan to come out for this HUGE two day event at Valley Park Conference Center on Saturday and Sunday; The Home & Lifestyle Show. Categories include kitchen, bath, windows and blinds, foundation, landscape, junk removal, home security, health & nutrition, and so much more! Admission to this event is FREE. The event runs Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-5pm.
It’s a big weekend in the Town if Buffalo! The All Horse Parade & Live Auction are Saturday and it’s going to be a great day! In addition to the parade at noon which begins at Buffalo Gazebo Park, the town is hosting the 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk that will take place rain or shine! Stick around after the parade to enjoy lunch from the Amish Food Truck and then the Live Auction takes place at 2pm. Race registration is at 9:30 am at Buffalo Town Hall, and entry fee is $15. All proceeds will go to HospiceCare. Questions? Call Bill Whittington at 304-268-0269.
Make it a great weekend, Putnam County!
