Saturday is the Putnam County Sheriff’s Second Annual Fall Festival which will take place at the Sheriff’s Department on Courthouse Drive in Winfield. This fun family activity will be going on all day from 10:00-5:00 and you can expect food trucks (including Wild & Wonderful BBQ!), craft vendors, contests and games, and so much more! Be sure to wear your costume!
Sunday is The City of Hurricane’s Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest at Hurricane City Park. 500 pumpkins will be provided and carving and tools will also be available, or go ahead and bring your own! The Guyan River Cloggers will be entertaining on the stage and while supplies last, FREE hot chocolate and s’mores will be available! The festivities will begin at 3:00 and judging for the best pumpkin carving happen around 4:45pm at which time awards will be given.
Whether you love pickleball already or have never played and want to find out what all the hype is about, this event is perfect for you! The City of Nitro is hosting a Halloween Pickle Ball Round Robin on Saturday at 5:30 where there will be free pizza, costume prizes, and more! Come join in on the fun! It’s time once again for Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church’s Annual Flick or Treat celebration! A FREE dinner on Sunday evening at 5:00 will be served in the gym, plus treats and viewing of The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! Meet us in the gym for this fun Halloween activity. Make sure your kids wear their costumes and bring a candy bucket, plus bring some comfy seating for the gym floor to enjoy the movie on. This event is open to everyone!
