It’s a huge weekend at Gritt’s Farm, where the fun starts Friday afternoon and doesn’t end until Sunday evening! Friday will be a ghastly good time trick-or-treating from 2:00-7:00pm at Gritt’s Fun Farm. Dress-up in costume and enjoy FREE candy giveaways, 30+ fall attractions, spooky seasonal treats, and so much more.
Then on Saturday, the parade kicks off at noon. Dress-up in costume and parade through the front playground, followed by a special story time and programming with the Putnam County Library. Line-up at the Pumpkin House! Starting at 11:45am, the first 25 children to arrive at the Pumpkin House in costume will receive one FREE Gritt’s Farm Goodie Bag.
Gritt’s Farm presents the Annual Pumpkin Smash on Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm in the Pumpkin Patch to celebrate the final day of the fall season. Stomp ’em, toss ’em, or bring your own bat! General admission ticket required to participate.
Grab your best ghouls and goblins and meet us on the farm for this very special weekend at Grit! Visit the events on Gritt’s Farm Facebook page for links to tickets.
Waggin’ Tails & Nitro Ales is this Saturday at Living Memorial Park in Nitro! If you haven’t been to this impressive festival in the past, make time to go tomorrow! The festival currently has 22 cooks registered and they will be serving up red, green and homestyle chili that will prove to be the perfect way to start off November. The competition will be fierce and delicious AND you can help pick our People’s Choice winner while helping raise money for HospiceCare and some other wonderful local charities. Head on over to Living Memorial Park at 11:00am and plan to spend the day! With a high of 68 degrees, a variety of beers, delicious chili, music and plenty of waggin’ tales (so bring your dog too!) the place to go on Saturday is the City of Nitro!
