What’s Happening this Weekend?

There’s so much going on this Saturday in #PutnamWV!

Have some stuff you’d like to get rid of while supporting a fantastic cause? Rent a spacious parking lot spot at this multi-family yard sale that will take place Saturday in the Putnam County Bank Loan Office parking lot in Hurricane. 100% of the proceeds will go to support Zoology Zone Science Center’s Animal Adoption Program. Reserve yourself a spot and load up your treasures! Spots are just $20. Reserve your spot by clicking on the link on the Zoology Zone Science Center Facebook page.

The City of Hurricane’s Main Street Spring Festival is this Saturday. In addition to awesome art/craft vendors, there is tons of FREE fun planned! Kiddos can enjoy free face painting, inflatables, ice cream, games, live entertainment, and so much more! Join in the family fun from 1:00-5:00pm Saturday. Take some time to stop into Bear Wood so your kiddo (or yourself!) can paint a fairy door to be placed on a tree on the trail at Valley Park. They supply everything you need for this $10 project, even an artist to help you along if you’d like! Also, plan to stop at Heritage Company right there in downtown Hurricane to take advantage of their 25% off sale. They sell everything from antique furniture to custom jewelry to fabulous t-shirts.

Eleanor’s 2025 Spring Town Wide Yard Sale will take place throughout town on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The earlier you plan to start, the better luck you’ll have!

The Saturday Morning Movie on Main is a great one this week; Zootopia! The movie starts at 10:00am. Check it out and everything else our wonderful Putnam County Library has to offer.

Be sure to check out the first Putnam Farmer’s Market of this 16th season, which is right across the street from the library in the lot between the Exxon and Billy Sunday’s. The Farmer’s Market runs 9am-1pm and will be full of vendors with fresh fruits and vegetables, crafts, coffee, jams and jellies, microgreens, and more!

Make it a great weekend, Putnam County!
