Poolside Pages is back by popular demand. That’s right! It was so much fun last time, Waves of Fun is doing it again on Friday evening. Need some quiet time to yourself with nothing but your favorite book and the sunshine? Admission is $5 and you are encouraged to bring your own one-person pool float. Don’t worry, the waves will be turned off for the entirety of the evening. This is an adult-only event and runs 7:30-9:00. The first 20 people through the door will receive a Blind Date with a Book. See you there!

Guess who’s turning 90? The Town of Eleanor is, and they are celebrating their fantastic town with a weekend-long party! Friday from 6pm-10pm, the Eleanor Pool is hosting a community pool party with a deejay, food trucks, and $3 admission for those without a season pass; season pass holders can use their pass and come for FREE! This event is going to be a blast! The festivities continue on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a special History Alive performance featuring historian Minnie Reed. You’re invited to visit the Art Gallery in the Homestead Room throughout the day and take the Town Hall History Tour. Every Town Hall visitor on Saturday will receive a free raffle ticket for our exclusive giveaways — tickets will not be sold, so visiting is the only way to get one! Come for the history, stay for the art, and leave with a memory (and maybe even a prize)!

At 5:00 p.m., head over to the Town Park for a FREE hotdog picnic and live entertainment! Raffle winners will be drawn throughout the evening, so stick around, enjoy the music, and see if you’re one of our lucky winners. Exclusive 90th Anniversary merchandise, including commemorative T-shirts and magnets will be available for purchase.

It’s prime garden veggie season! Don’t forget to stop by the Putnam Farmer’s Market Saturday to stock up on your weekly produce, baked goods, and so much more! The market will be set up from 9am-1pm and runs every Saturday through the end of September.

Make it a great weekend, Putnam County!
