Kick off the fall season with the annual Hurricane Harvest Festival on Saturday at Hurricane City Park. From 1:00-6:00pm, There will be dozens of art and craft vendors, inflatables, games, giveaways and live bluegrass music for everyone to enjoy. PLUS you don’t want to miss the pumpkin pie eating contest at 3:00, whether you just want to watch, or participate and compete for a $100 Walmart gift card! Admission to this all-day event is FREE.

Calling all avid yard sale shoppers! This may be your last opportunity of the season, so grab a friend and your travel coffee mug and head to the Parking Lot Sale at the Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene Saturday between 8am-2pm.  Plan on grabbing a homemade hot dog and bake sale item while you’re there! Proceeds will benefit the church kitchen ministry.

It’s opening weekend at Gritt’s Farm! If you’re wanting to enjoy a day of fall fun but with summer weather, this is the weekend to do it. Bring the kiddos and enjoy ALL Gritt’s Fun Farm has to offer! Taking place for opening weekend at Gritt’s, our friends at Putnam County Library are hosting Tales & Tractors, a special story time & read-along Saturday from 11am-2pm. If you can’t make it this weekend, Takes & Tractors will be happening twice more on September 27th and October 11th. This event will be located at the Pumpkin House near the entrance of Gritt’s Farm.
