Until the pool opening Memorial Day weekend though, Valley Park is a fantastic place to spend some time this weekend whether it be on the walking trails, taking the kids to the inclusive playground, treating your four-legged friend with a trip to the dog park, a game of disc golf…the fun is endless at Valley Park! If you love nature and walking/hiking, Meeks Mountain Trail system and Eleanor Park both have amazing trails also!

What are you doing today after work? A perfect activity to wrap up the work week is the Nitro Antique Car Club Cruze-In Friday at Nitro Living Memorial Park. Plenty of Antique cars and trucks will line 2nd Ave in front of Nitro City Hall and Living Memorial Park. The event is from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. There will be DJ music and free hot dogs, chips, and drinks.

Saturday morning, all the fun is at our very own Area 34! From 9:00am-4:00pm, there will be a Small Business Artisan Market, so plan to come and shop from these talented local artists on what promises to be a gorgeous day! Additionally, from 9-noon, there will be some local farmers in attendance with lettuce, asparagus, baked goods and chicken eggs. See you then!

Last but certainly not least, it’s Spring in Poca! Come spend some time Saturday strolling through the lovely Town of Poca and enjoying the local businesses there. Bring some friends, grab some food, and shop local! This event will be happening all day from 9:00am-6:00pm.
