We know it’s only Thursday, but we are giving the green light to start your weekend early because we’re pretty sure you’ve earned it!

There’s no better reason to start your weekend on a Thursday than the return of a series of Night Markets! That’s right…the first one of 2023 is tonight at Valley Park and it’s going to be a beautiful evening.  Night Markets are to offer a social experience for our community while also being able to support local vendors and experience local entertainers. The Young Professionals Edition(this evening) will offer entertainment, networking opportunities and social experiences for the young professionals of our community.  Park Tank finals will be held at this event, so be sure to come out and support these young entrepreneurs of Putnam County!

Then Friday morning, start your day off with Toast! Join The Putnam CREW(Community, Relationships, Empower, Workforce) for their monthly meetup, Toast!, to network at Area 34/Putnam Provisions. Toast! starts at 8:00am.  See you there!

Eva’s last movie night was so much fun, they’re doing it again! They’ll be hosting another movie night Friday night. Eva’s is located in Poca. The movie is yet to be determined but will be a fun movie for the whole family. No charge for the movie, just bring your own blanket or chairs and get set up in our gravel parking lot. Eva’s will be selling a movie night combo for $5 that will include a hot dog, chips, and a fountain drink. Movie starts at 8pm.

Moving into Saturday, it’s the Putnam Farmer’s Market! These local farmers and artisans work  hard to produce for the residents of Putnam County and we all get to benefit from it every Saturday! From 9:00am-1:00pm in the field beside the Exxon/Arby’s off the Teays Valley exit, they are set up across from the main branch of the library. Speaking of the library, after you wrap up at the Farmer’s Market, be sure to make a trip over to the Main Branch, which is directly across the street. They’ve got free coloring sheets for the kiddos and a very knowledgeable staff who can help you with books, movies, or anything you may need to use the computer for!
