What’s Happening This Weekend?

There’s no shortage of fun stuff happening in Putnam County this weekend and the fun starts tonight with great food, great drinks, and live music brought to you by those brave enough to participate in Open Mic Night! It doesn’t get much better than that for a sunny Thursday evening at one of our very favorite local spots, The Fireside Grille! Come check out the local talent starting at 6pm. No cover charge!

This Saturday from 9:00-1:00 is Putnam Provisions first Coffee & Cars event, which is of course conveniently at the same time and location as the Putnam Farmer’s Market! Bring your classic  or otherwise awesome car and plan to park in the lot behind Area 34 and The Holiday Inn Express. Don’t have a classic or otherwise awesome car? Well just come enjoy checking them out, and please encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to do the same! A morning of cars, coffee, and a trip to the Putnam Farmer’s Market is a perfect way to begin a three day weekend!
Additionally, Putnam Provisions will be giving out FREE 8 ounce cups of coffee at this event and they are so excited to announce that Jim Winters will be emceeing, so you can be assured that great music will be played!
And you know what Memorial Day brings…yes you can start wearing white…but also it’s time for the pools to open! Waves of Fun offers season passes and also day passes.  Hours this weekend are 11-7 Saturday, 12-6 Sunday, and 11-7 Monday! And don’t forget the Hurricane City Park Sprayground opens Saturday also.  Admission is FREE to Putnam County residents who bring an ID with a Putnam County address.  Admission is only $3 to non-residents. There is a concession stand on site and don’t forget, the Sprayground can also be rented out for private parties.  Check out the City of Hurricane website for more information.
Make it a great weekend, Putnam County!
