Start your weekend early with Luau Night Thursday at the July Valley Park Night Market; which will include live music, vendors, food trucks, a limbo contest and more! The live entertainment will be performed by Poser Joe. Come out and join the festivities anytime between 6pm-9pm. Wear your favorite Hawaiian gear if you have it!

Friday is the very last Food Truck Friday of the summer at Hurricane City Park. Food Truck Friday serves lunch from 11am-2pm.This is such a treat each summer, but all good things must come to an end! Come grab a Wild N’ Wonderful pepperoni roll or something fantastic from Hillbilly Hibachi, and your choice of something sweet or salty from ScragglePop Kettlecorn. Bring a friend or co-worker and enjoy lunch in the shade at the park or take it to go.

Waves of Fun is having two special activities this weekend, and both are for adults only. That’s right! Friday from 7pm-9pm, adults can enjoy an evening with nothing but their favorite book, an innertube, and a quiet couple of hours in the pool with no waves and no kids! Admission is $8 and the tube is included. Then Saturday night at Waves of Fun, you’ll get the best of summer and autumn at this second adult only event! Summerween is a night filled with spooky vibes, games, a scary movie, and more! Admission is just $5 and the movie being shown is Scream. This event starts at 7:30pm and the movie will start at dusk.

Don’t miss Shakespeare in the Park this Saturday evening at 7pm as the Rustic Mechanicals bring MacBeth to Valley Park’s large shelter. Putnam County Tourism partners with the Putnam County Library and Valley Park each summer to bring this incredible experience to #PutnamWV. Admission is free and it is recommended you plan to arrive early! Bring a chair, some water, and a friend who will appreciate this fun event.

Saturday is Kids’ Day at the Putnam Farmer’s Market, which means kids will receive two $2 tokens to spend at the market as they choose. Come support these local farmers, artisans, and vendors and stock up for the week! The market runs 9am-1pm.
