Kick off your weekend early at the first Food Truck Friday of 2026, which will take place every Friday in June and July (with the exception of July 3), at Hurricane City Park between 11:00am-2:00pm. With the enthusiastic staff of Putnam County Library sponsoring the event and three delicious food truck options including Triple B Eatery, The Mountain Potato Company, and Caffeine & Chaos, this is the perfect way to wrap up the week!

Before you get into your planned Saturday activities, take a little bit of time to stop by the Putnam Farmer’s Market in the front parking lot of Area 34 and stock up on vegetables and baked good for the week, plus shop for handmade artisan items. The market takes place every Saturday from 9:00am-1:00pm through September.

Gritt’s Farm will be hosting a Farm to Table Dinner Saturday. This unique event will take place from 6:00-8:00pm. It’s Winfield Watersports Weekend! This annual event showcases the watersports community in #PutnamWV, giving you the opportunity to kayak, canoe, and paddleboard, while enjoying a weekend packed with live music and food trucks! Friday, join in the fun with live music, vendors, food trucks, and free paddleboard lessons! Saturday, you can enjoy more live music and food trucks, plus a rubber duck race benefitting Backpack Buddies, free paddleboard lessons, and races, which are open to all ages and abilities. Speaking of the Backpack Buddy Program, Saturday is the annual Backpack Buddy Packing Day, where volunteers will spend time packing boxes for children who need support in the summer months making sure food is available at home. This volunteer event will run approximately 10:00am-noon Saturday. The more volunteers that show up, the quicker it will go! Plan to come out to Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene and join in this fun and rewarding effort. The event takes place in the parking lot out front.
