This week’s Fitness Friday hosted by Putnam County Library is going to be a knockout! Embrace your inner Rocky Balboa with fun cardio fitness exercises led by HellaFit Boxing owner Jace Heller. The team at @HellaFit: Boxing-Cardio-Fitness is headed to Hurricane Bridge Park to train you in some cardio-boxing from 10am-1pm. Hurricane Bridge Park is just up the road from Hurricane Branch Library on Midland Trail, going toward Route 60. All ages are welcome, but boxing gloves are limited so if you have your own pair, please bring them to wear at the event! 🥊(If rain or extreme heat, we’ll move to their studio at 2704 Main Street. Look for the library’s flag!)

The fun at the Putnam County Fair kicks off at 4:00pm Friday. The Livestock Auction begins at 5:00pm and Friday evening also features live music beginning at 8:30pm. Then Saturday, the gates open at 9:00am, and the carnival opens at 1:00pm, which is also the time the Mud Run races begin! There will be live music again on Saturday beginning at 8:30pm. Be sure to look at the Putnam County Fair Facebook page for a full events schedule. It’s going to be a great weekend at the fair!

Bring on the foam! If you have a child age 7-14 who loves to party, then Friday is a their lucky day because the Foam Garage is hosting a Dance Party for them from 7:00-9:00pm! The cost is $10.00 per child (adults are free) and the party will include age appropriate music, laser and glow lights, unlimited foam, and pizza and drinks will be available for purchase! The kids do get wet, so a towel and a change of clothes are needed.

Speaking of foam…on Saturday the fun with the Foam Garage continues from 4:00-5:30! The Putnam Princesses are renting out the Foam Garage and inviting you to a Party for the ERAS, where the princesses are picking their favorite era-inspired outfit and hosting an evening full of pop music, activities, fun & FOAM! The characters will be hosting friendship bracelet stations where you can make and exchange with all your new friends, plus they’ll be styling everyone up with glow paint and dancing in the foam pit, all while our favorite pop princess rocks the speakers. Tickets are extremely limited! $58 per couple (aka adult tickets are $18 & children are $40 and you’re welcome to purchase additional tickets for additional children or adults!) Message Putnam Princesses on Facebook or text 681-587-6998 to secure your tickets!
All children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is recommended for children 10 and under (but it’s up to you!)

Join us for an evening of laughs, fun and BINGO! Valley Park will be hosting their first BINGO fundraiser on Saturday at the Valley Park Conference Center. The doors open at 5:00pm and BINGO will begin at 6:00 pm.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online by anyone 18 years and older. Please visit the Valley Park Facebook page for the link to tickets. Tickets are very limited and may not be available at the door, so be sure to get yours in advance! Additional bingo books and daubers will be available for purchase at the door.
There will also be raffles prizes and concessions! This is going to be a great evening! Grab a friend and come on out.

Every Sunday at 5:00pm, EZ Street will be hosting trivia nights! There is no entry fee, and an opportunity to win cash prizes. What a fun, energetic way to end your weekend!

Shewww! Lots going on, Putnam County!

Additionally, be sure to check out the Farmer’s Market Saturday morning from 9:00-1:00 in the field next to the Exxon across from the main branch of the Putnam County Library. This is a great way to support your local farmers and artisans and to get the best fresh produce around!

Make is a great weekend, Putnam County!
